Product intro and specs
The Aegis Pod is the latest pod-style AIO from Geekvape. All the way from the original Aegis mod to the most recent Aegis Boost pod system, the Aegis line of products has been very popular due to their looks, performance, and IP67-rated water and shock-resistance. Unlike the Aegis Boost though, the Aegis Pod is a more traditional and simple to use low-wattage pod system.
Geekvape has done a great job over the past few years of making some of the best products on the market, with rarely a dud. A few of my personal favorites are the Nova and Aegis Legend mods and the Alpha tank. We’ll see how the Aegis Pod stacks up to them.

Aegis Pod features
The Geekvape Aegis Pod is a compact pod system with one button. Of course, like the rest of the Aegis line, it’s IP-67 rated for shock and water-resistance as well. It is very slim and small, and its form factor makes a great vape to carry around in a pocket. It’s listed at 73 grams and it is 17.7 mm thick. It’s made for lower-wattage restricted DL vaping currently, with no air adjustments and only a 0.6-ohm “Hybrid G series” mesh Kanthal coil available for it. The device boasts a long-lasting built-in 800 mAh battery with a USB-C connection with fast charging and a 3.5 mL capacity.
There are four color options available:
- Beetle Black: all black with an orange stitching on the leather.
- Silver Chafer: silver frame and silver stitching on the black leather.
- Gunmetal: similar to beetle black with a lighter greyish black color for the frame.
- Tamamushi: rainbow frame and purple stitching on the black leather.
I was sent the gunmetal one which looks great in real life, but I can’t judge the others. The pod fits 3.5 mL of juice, and the coils get replaced inside the pod with a standard plug and play style. It can be filled through a standard rubber plug on the bottom and attaches to the device via a magnet.
First impressions
As expected, the Aegis Pod is very nicely built. It’s solid, has no button rattle, and feels of very high quality overall. As usual, the leather feels and looks great. There is no screen or anything, just one button and an LED in the center to let you know the battery capacity. It is button activated only (no auto-draw), and works like most mods with five clicks of the fire button to turn on and off. The flavor I get is really good so far, but what’s going to make or break it is the life of the coils. Geekvape claims you get four fills of the 3.5 mL pod (around 14 mL) which would be fine. I usually look for 10 mL or more out of a coil in pod vapes like this one.
I don’t love that they use a tinted pod. Even though it’s fully exposed, it’s hard to see in certain light. I really wish they just used clear pods so you can see your juice level better. That’s really my only complaint on the device so far. It’s very easy to fill since they went with the standard rubber plug fill. The pods are easy to remove as well and fit great with strong magnets. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this device as a small portable beginner DL pod set up. I haven’t tested it extensively yet, but so far it looks like a worthy addition to the Aegis line.
