ALIBARBAR SWIRL 50K Review: Hypnotic Flavor

Every once in a while, something shows up on my doorstep that piques my interest. When I first opened my vape mail and saw the ALIBARBAR SWIRL 50K, I thought first of vaping—not of writing a review.

Despite my shipment missing the final packaging, I could see through the translucent inner sleeves that normally sit inside the box. Seeing several devices share the same color made me think they were all one flavor, which sometimes happens with shipments. Not here.

Every ALIBARBAR SWIRL comes in that gold exterior with the 3D Milky Way spiral graphic inside the tank. Equipped with a 3500 mAh battery and 18 mL of e-liquid, this is a true disposable vape that promises to last up to 15 days without recharging—and to prove the point, the device doesn't even have a charging port!

The SWIRL has a heft and a sense of quality suggesting an enjoyable experience, so let’s get to it and see how it performs in reality.

Size, look, and feel

The SWIRL 50K has some heft at 132 grams and a sizable form at 52.95 mm x 99 mm x 29 mm. That said, it manages to stay in the comfortable-to-hold category, despite falling out of the hands-free, ultra-compact group. It’s still not as big as a box-mod and tank combo, though.

With the ALIBARBAR SWIRL, you can palm it as if you were going to stealth vape it, but the glowing lights of the 3D Milky Way inner tank will inhibit any clandestine vaping.

The lights are cool. They illuminate inside the tank and flicker toward the bottom of the front side. There’s also a battery percentage readout that lights up when you take a puff that really has no purpose with a non-rechargeable battery. Just like there's no need for a liquid meter when the tank is completely transparent like with the SWIRL.

The overall device feels really good in the hand with its dual finish of matte metal and glossy plastic. The golden metal side is a seamless matte finish that contrasts nicely with the opposing grippy side.

Despite being a larger device, the ALIBARBAR SWIRL has a smaller duckbill-style mouthpiece that’s super comfortable to use. It’s so perfectly fitted to the lips that I thought it was a bite-friendly mouthpiece. It’s not—and that’s probably a good thing, since you don’t want to hang something this heavy from your teeth.

Getting started

With the ALIBARBAR SWIRL, there’s nothing to do besides switching it on. Located at the bottom of the device is the on/off switch, which also controls airflow and power. Okay—so there’s one more thing to do besides turn it on.

The SWIRL has dual power modes: Normal and Extreme. When in Extreme mode, the screen will show the corresponding word. Extreme tastes warmer and richer, producing more flavor and a throat hit. However, if you never left the Normal setting, you’d probably still fall in love with this vape.

This is one of those vapes where the increased power mode seems to have a tighter airflow than the regular mode. It’s hard to explain. Regardless, they’re both variations of the same draw: a loose MTL.

Note: There is no recharging with the ALIBARBAR SWIRL. The battery charge is designed to outlast the liquid, which is why there is no recharge port on the SWIRL 50K.

How does it hit?

The ALIBARBAR SWIRL hits like a dream. The loose MTL draw shines thanks to the dual mesh coil, strong flavor output, battery power, and airflow design.

I let a couple of coworkers try the SWIRL, and they were both floored. One said it had a very smooth hit with no weird aftertaste, and the other asked where she could get one. After just a couple of hits—and even days later—they’re still asking me, “When can I get one of those ALIBARBAR vapes?” I’m like, I don’t know—I just review.

ALIBARBAR SWIRL 50K best flavors

For this to be my first ALIBARBAR vape, I was impressed with the flavors—and I say that in the past tense because I went through these devices fast.

There is something very enjoyable about the way these perform. If you like a lot of flavor, you should try one of these:

Pink Drink: Tart and sweet pink lemonade with more character than usual for this profile   

Frozen Banana Toffee: Tastes exactly like it sounds—impressive and quite cold   

Black Dragon: Dragonfruit and something else—I don’t know what, but it’s incredible. Mine is bone dry. Vaped it up quickly! Another please.   

Miami Mint: Exactly what you expect—peppermint, spearmint, and wintergreen. Solid. 

How long does it last?

ALIBARBAR says you can get up to 15 days without charging. Two things:

Mine lasted about 2.5 days, but once I opened them, I could practically watch the liquid leave the tank. So good! I vape heavily, sure—but even pacing myself, I’d maybe be able to stretch it to 3.5 days. That would take effort.

Verdict

The ALIBARBAR SWIRL is a strong combination of power and smart design. Not only does it vape well, but it maintains that performance throughout the entire tank. I didn’t notice any drop-off from first hit to last, which is noteworthy for a 50K-rated (18 mL) device.

You won’t recharge it once—because you can’t. The battery will outlast the liquid.

I do wonder if ALIBARBAR could fit more e-liquid into this form. Honestly, as well as it performs, I wouldn’t mind a little extra weight for more capacity.

For such a simple device to use, the performance is top-shelf and feels advanced. I wholeheartedly recommend the ALIBARBAR SWIRL to anyone looking for the next vape to have.
