Not every device family needs to reinvent itself with every new release.
Sometimes, the better approach is to find a formula people understand, keep the parts that work, and refine the experience around them.
That is the story of AIRSCREAM’s AirsPops Pro series. From the original AirsPops Pro to the Pro Lite, AirEgg and Pro II, the family has grown through different forms, specifications and levels of control without losing sight of the idea that started it all: a sleek pod device that is straightforward for everyday use.
Now, that story continues with the AirsPops Pro Lite II, the latest addition to a lineup that has been evolving for years.
It started with the AirsPops Pro
The original AirsPops Pro established the foundation.
Its design was deliberately simple. A slim body, magnetic cartridge connection and straightforward operation made it a device built around everyday usability rather than excess.
Inside, the Pro combines a 700 mAh battery with a 2 mL cartridge and AIRSCREAM's 1.0Ω EC/M coil system. AIRSCREAM designed the coil for mouth-to-lung vaping, with 40-50 VG/PG e-liquids recommended for the setup.
It also established something that would become increasingly important as the range expanded: a pod and cartridge ecosystem that AIRSCREAM could continue building around. That continuity is a big part of what has given the Pro family its staying power.
Pro Lite made the formula smaller
Next came the AirsPops Pro Lite.
The clue is in the name. Rather than changing the basic idea behind the Pro, AIRSCREAM condensed it into a more compact and accessible package.
The Pro Lite keeps the 700 mAh battery, 2 mL capacity, magnetic connection and USB-C charging associated with the original system, while shortening the device to 91.5 mm. It was designed as an easier entry point into the Pro experience without stripping away the fundamentals that made the original familiar.
And that is really what "Lite" means within this family. Less complication with the same focus on getting the everyday basics right.
AirEgg proved the platform could take another shape
Then AIRSCREAM did something a little different.
The AirEgg moved away from the familiar stick-style silhouette, but underneath its compact, rounded form factor was the experience that Pro users already knew.
AirEgg uses the same coil and cartridge types as the original AirsPops Pro. It combines that shared system with a 900 mAh battery, output up to 18 W, and a 2 mL capacity. Its interchangeable button colours, silicone sleeve, and lanyard also gave the device a more playful personality than the minimalist Pro.
In other words, AirEgg showed that the Pro ecosystem didn't have to mean one shape or one style. The hardware could change around the user while the core experience remained familiar.
AirsPops Pro II gave users more control
The AirsPops Pro II took the series in the other direction.
Instead of simplifying the original Pro, it added more information and control.
A 1000 mAh battery increased capacity, while an information screen brought battery status, puff count, coil resistance and wattage adjustment directly onto the device. Adjustable airflow was added too, along with USB-C charging, magnetic pod connection and draw activation. Yet despite the extra functionality, Pro II stayed visually connected to the series. It was still recognisably an AirsPops Pro. More ways for users to tailor the experience to their preferences.
One pod family, several ways to use it
Perhaps the clearest thread running through the series is compatibility.
AIRSCREAM's current AirsPops Pro refillable pod range covers several resistance options. The 0.8Ω, 1.0Ω, and 1.2Ω options are listed as compatible with the Pro II, original Pro, Pro Lite, and AirEgg. The lower resistance 0.6Ω pod is reserved for the Pro II. AirsPops
That matters because an established device isn't only about the hardware in your hand.
It is also about knowing what fits, what you're comfortable using and what you'll be able to find when it's time for a replacement.
By developing new devices around an existing ecosystem, AIRSCREAM has been able to introduce more choice without asking long-time users to start from zero every time.
And now, Pro Lite II
That brings the series to its latest chapter: AirsPops Pro Lite II.
The Pro Lite name already has a clear place in the AirsPops family. It represents the straightforward side of the Pro experience, where portability and ease of use come before unnecessary complexity. Pro Lite II carries that idea into the next generation. For existing AirsPops users, it joins a device family that has been built and refined over several iterations. For someone encountering the Pro range for the first time, it offers a way into an established ecosystem that has had years to mature. And that may be the most important thing about the new device. It doesn't need to abandon what came before it to feel new.
A familiar idea, still moving forward
The AirsPops Pro family has taken several forms over the years. There is the simplicity of the original Pro, the compact approach of Pro Lite, the personality of AirEgg, the added control of Pro II, and now the newest evolution, Pro Lite II.
Individually, they are different devices with different priorities. Collectively, they reflect one recognisable approach. For AIRSCREAM, the Pro series has never been about adding features simply for the sake of adding them. Its identity has been built around practical design, an easy learning curve, and hardware that feels at home in everyday use.
Pro Lite II doesn't reset that story. It keeps moving forward.
