LYFT: A Leading Tobacco-Free Nicotine Pouch Brand by BAT’s Fiedler & Lundgren

LYFT is a globally recognized nicotine pouch brand developed and manufactured by Fiedler & Lundgren AB, a Swedish subsidiary of British American Tobacco (BAT). Originally introduced as a tobacco-free evolution of the traditional snus product EPOK, LYFT was launched in Sweden and quickly expanded across European markets. The brand operates under BAT’s Next Generation Products (NGP) division and is managed within BAT’s broader portfolio of modern oral nicotine alternatives, alongside Velo and Vuse. 

LYFT is produced in BAT’s Swedish facilities in Malmö, with all operations—R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory compliance—handled in line with EU tobacco and nicotine product directives. In recent years, BAT began consolidating its nicotine pouch brands under the VELO name in many markets, including the UK and parts of Europe, effectively phasing out LYFT in favor of a unified global brand identity. However, in select markets, LYFT remains active under its original label, representing BAT’s strategic localization approach.
